  • Fixtures

So I am still here so no clot in the leg. Just old age, swelling still there but only a little pain. Battled on and went to work, god I am a trooper. Tonight went to Newark for a fixture meeting for next season it was like a cattle market, large room, 550 people, warm weather, yes it was oppressive, thank god the Guinness was cold. Only black spot of evening was the fact that we have drawn Wragby in the cup, bit of history there, little cretin I fell out with after Reffing home match last season, came over but I could not slag him off as he had a Liverpool shirt on, oh well.

  • Stevie Gerrard

Well I am glad he is staying, the season has started and he has bagged a hat-trick. Would have liked to have seen better than 3-0 but a wins a win.

  • Training

Last night football training, firstly with the Under 10's, after promotion last year, thelads seem to be very keen for the new season to start. Then we moved on to the first team or seniors, which looks like it maybe harder work but there was a lot of enthusiasm last night. It's the first year for M and myself at that level so we'llhave to see how it goes. Been to Doctors this morning as my leg is very swollen, and he thinks it is a DVT, so have to go to hospital in Lincoln this afternoon, they cannot foitme in till 3.
Lovely day again, I hope all those people who were slating the Aussies have now taken a vow of silence, fools you should have listened

  • Lazy Sunday.

Well a lovely day weather wise and really a very lazy day, had a new outside tap fitted this am, thanx to my very practical father in law, so then it was lunch so we opened a bottle of red, then another and the afternoon just seemed to drift away sitting on the terrace. He has gone home a little unsteadily so we'll be popular with MIL but hey ho. Have a brand new selection from the chocolate tasting club so gona relax with them tonight.
