Just old age, swelling still there but only a little pain. Battled on and went to work, god I am a trooper. Tonight went to Newark for a fixture meeting for next season it was like a cattle market, large room, 550 people, warm weather, yes it was oppressive, thank god the Guinness was cold. Only black spot of evening was the fact that we have drawn Wragby in the cup, bit of history there, little cretin I fell out with after Reffing home match last season, came over but I could not slag him off as he had a Liverpool shirt on, oh well.
Then we moved on to the first team or seniors, which looks like it maybe harder work but there was a lot of enthusiasm last night. It's the first year for M and myself at that level so we'llhave to see how it goes. Been to Doctors this morning as my leg is very swollen, and he thinks it is a DVT, so have to go to hospital in Lincoln this afternoon, they cannot foitme in till 3.
Lovely day again, I hope all those people who were slating the Aussies have now taken a vow of silence, fools you should have listened

He has gone home a little unsteadily so we'll be popular with MIL but hey ho. Have a brand new selection from the chocolate tasting club so gona relax with them tonight.

Well I have gained a friend, was beginning to feel like Billy no-mates, not many comments either. Well it's been a hell of a week, live8 was a great musical event, thought Pink Floyd and The Who certainly rolled back the years. Well done to all those concerned with winning the Olympic bid, never thought we would get it thought no one would vote for us because everybody hated us, one in the eye for Chirac so doubly good then. Then there was yesterday in London, I certainly do not have the vocabulary to sum up my feelings, anything I say would appear to be trite, so all I will say is that my thoughts are with all those families affected, and the rest of us should once again be grateful for what we have and thank our lucky stars.
On a personal front, my two eldest children got good school reports, in fact daughters was glowing, the most pleasing point was the teacher writing how wonderfully polite and helpful she is (presume she got the right girl).
Makes me a proud parent manners is all I ask for.

Coldplay were even more fantastic than I thought they would be FIX YOU will go down as one of the great songs ever. Elton John was just Elton John and whoever told him it was a good idea to invite Pete Docherty was utterley wrong. What's that sound oh yes it's Marc Bolan turning in his grave. Kate Moss you need more help than your f**ked up boyfriend. Dido is now on, she's game I'll give her that as her music (good as it is) is hardly suited to massive open air gigs. Will be back later.

This is right up M street he is very sporty and won his main race the 60m sprint. He was in competition with his great mate L, who also plays in the local footy team with M, and it was very close, but the best thing of all was the two of them with arms around each others shoulders shaking hands after the race, great behaviour for nine year olds was very proud of both of them. C my daughter was not a happy bunny she is more of a princess type of girl (I would say she is a girly girl but would be accused of being sexist no doubt) so the tought of getting hot and sweaty fills her with dread and as she told me PE kits are not a good look Dad, should I worry when she says things like that at five years old. Anyway it was a good afternoon the sun shone and I think I have burnt the top of my head, which amuses my wife no end.

What has happened in the last week well Tim lost and all the papers decided he was a sad loser well what does he think he is doing losing on purpose just to spite the press. A Scot boy won a match and all of asudden he is agreat hope, his ranking 333 or near, Tim top ten, think about it you muppets in the press,Another thing Mr.Murrey do have a word with your coach he was pictured wearing a cap provided by The S*n please remember the Hillsborough Tragedy and support Justice Campaign for the 96 people who lost thier lives RIP. It's bad enough that the Canadian is sponsored by them. Glad I got that right off my chest. What else oh yes cricketers doing well so far, Lions not. The five times Euro Winners got lucky and have nearly a local derby against TNS, will leave footie alone till nearer the season. In my world work fairly average, staffing a little headache at the mo but no doubt it wil be sorted. Attended a gathering on Sat with other parents of our junior football team, I think M and I are invited for the cabaret when we have had a couple of beers, yes it was a good night. Sunday we took the children to the beach lovely day M,C & O had a ball, to kids Mablethorpe could be the greatest beach in the world. Well I seem to have rambled on at great length I will finish by bidding farewell to Richard Whiteley a Yorkshireman but hey you can't have everything seemed like an ok guy. Time to water the garden. A giant leap, even though last album was great this one moves on to the next level. It's a pity Oasis did not learn this after two great albums they have now developed into a parody of there former selves, Noel ditch the rest and do it all yourself you know it makes sense. So with Coldplay's recent success Stateside that must really make them the second biggest band in the world after U2 then.

Great show on a great station Radio 2 where else could you listen to an hour of blues with Paul Jones then an hour of R& Roll with Mark Lamarr then half hour comedy with Punt & Dennis. God that looks like an advert.

This was written while listening to music from Taxi Driver.

Well here we are welcome to my world. Firstly 'adlamitis' is an a condition that affects members of my family. It causes us to be fairly opinionated, makes us love music and Liverpool Football Club. So expect random ravings about everything under the sun. My wife and children will probably loom large along with mundane things like work and the weather and just life. Be warned i do tend to waffle.
